Beaded fobs

I work in a job by day that requires I use a key fob in order to access a secure computer network. I also travel quite a bit with my job - taking my key fob with me in my travels.

The key fob itself is about 2 1/4 inches by 1 1/4 inches with a hole in one end to attach a key chain or whatever. I have had a fairly plain D ring with a lampwork bead attached to mine for a while now.

I am traveling to the Denver and Colorado Springs areas soon and will meet two of my co-workers for the first time (we all work remotely). I wanted to offer up a small token of appreciation to thank them for their help and hard work.

These are about 4 1/2 to 5 inches in length from end to end. The black and blue bead was made by rufusandroxy and the pink bead by Pam Bennett at My Cabin Creations/Wild Sage Lampwork. The beaded part is tubular Ndebele made from instructions found in The Art & Elegance of Beadweaving by Carol Wilcox Wells.

I plan to bead up several more, I want to try a few other stitches - we'll have to see how that goes!

Oh Grace,
The key fobs are really pretty, and such a good idea. What a lovely idea for gifts to your co-workers, they will love them I am sure of that.
I make scissor fobs, but I haven't beaded them , I just use beads and a small log cabin pillow which I make.I should post a picture on my blog.
Busy busy!!
BTW I got your compliment on the pins....Thanks a lot... They were so much fun, I am doing some more to sell when I participate in a studio tour the end of the month, I mailed my 3 pins off to Carol on Monday, so I will be anxious to see what she thinks, It's my 1st time.I can't wait for the swap:0)
Take care
((((hugs))))

Thank you for the nice comments!

I made 2 more and will do my best to get those posted today, they are so fun - they bead up quick and I love the look of the twisted herringbone.

Thanks again.

Your blog, Grace, speaks softly and loudly of your sweet, searching and expressively creative soul. Visiting your blog reminds me why I love you so!

Amazing Grace - words are insufficient to express the power of this wonderful song and his wonderful delivery of it!

Love you much,

I sure hope it's not too long before we can work out a time to get together. I miss you!

Leaves of Grass

This is what you shall do: Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body - Walt Whitman
