Spring, BFAC auctions and WIP...

I think today is the first day I really started to believe spring might actually be on its way. I could sing and dance (but I don't want to scare away the birds). The snow is almost gone, the birds are singing - loudly and what did I see today...

and this...

I could weep tears of joy!

I also am excited that the kit for the 2011 BFAC auctions is on the way. All the more reason for me to finish up my latest bracelet for my pal James.

Speaking of the BFAC auctions - they start tomorrow, see that photo of my little purse on the right side ------------------------------------------------>
click that button and you will be taken right to the EBay auction site for the first week of auctions.

Now on to my work in progress...

I have added a bit more since my last post. I am still having fun with it, that is always a good sign.

This is one of those projects that I will be sorry to see end, I am enjoying it that much. I believe I will finish it this weekend and have just enough time to clear off my bead table and get ready for the Beading for a Cure kit.

Don't forget to click on the photos for a giant in your face photo!

Wow! This is so awesome - James is very lucky.

And you are lucky too - spring blooms peeping up! My heavens I'm still looking at 2+ feet of snow. But the sun was out and above freezing temps, so I'm sure my little snow drops are getting ready!

Gorgeous cuff, Grace. You are doing a wonderful job on it. If James doesn't like it, you know where you can send it. lol
Got my Kit today. You will looove it. I've already got my plans in gear for it. Spending a few days at the beach next week to soak in the good vibes and visit with my grandson and his girlfriend. I hope to spend lots of time working on my BFAC project. I want to finish it and get it sent off before I lose it like I did last year. lol.

Its always such a treat to see your beading! I love the colors and variety you chose for this cuff.

Lucky you to have flowers blooming. We still have piles of snow in our yard. I haven't seen any of my flowers yet, but our fish did survive the winter since Terry heated the pond this year.

It's looking great, Grace! And we, too, had a REAL spring day down here in southern NM -- actually reached 74 degrees.

The bracelet is coming along really nicely. All good things (and everything else) come to an end but then you can start something new.

Yay, spring is coming. I dared to pot two patio tomato plants and am hoping like crazy we don't drop back to freezing. The store had them and I couldn't wait!

Leaves of Grass

This is what you shall do: Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body - Walt Whitman
