Bead Journal Project - Uninspired...

Well, finally - my last month of the BJP for 08-09. I really did finish is quite awhile go, I was just late in taking and cropping photos.

This one is called "Uninspired". By the time I was able to sit and work on this piece, that is exactly what I was... uninspired. It does not mean I do not like the end result because I do. It is just that nothing inspired me to bead, this was mindless beading, following the design of the fabric with no personal inspiration at all, but I happen to love the colors. Sometimes it is nice to sew beads and sequins to fabric with no thought.

Here is the back

Now to put them all together - that is the real challenge!

Yes, we want to see what the black line creates.

sometimes the day we feel "inspired" turns out to be the most fruitful as we allow our brain to turn itself off and JUST CREATE. I personally love the direction you are heading in.. :)

It looks nice Grace. I've been rather uninspired for quite a while now. I think I tried to do too many things and it left me behind on everything which led to feeling like stopping it all for a while. At least you have the year all done now. It will be fun (at least for all of us) to see them all put together so we will find out what that mystery line is.

Where have I been that I missed this beauty??? OMG, the line through the regular pattern of beading is so pleasing... I know the line is part of the overall design, but it's lovely just here in just this segment! I love your work, Grace!!!

Well, even being uninspired...it's beautiful and I can't wait to see it stitched together! ;-)

P.S. Your blue beauty in the post below is a gorgeous thing! I love that little size and have some forms, but I have yet to bead a little one. Hmmmmmm...lol at myself! Why, because I still am *super-sizing them*!!! ~wink~ I couldn't bring myself to leave a comment below. I didn't join in this year and it just doesn't seem fair. Someone is going to love and adore her though.

Grace, I already have one of your beautiful dolls. I would love to have a chance at another to sit with my beautiful inspiration. She has helped me through thick and thin. Thanks so much again.

Leaves of Grass

This is what you shall do: Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body - Walt Whitman
