Faces from swap

It's been an exciting mail day around here today. Not only did I receive a RAK package from a great friend (more on that in a later post), I also received the much anticipated faces from Carol's annual beaded face swap and I could not be happier! The following are the faces I received as swaps for the four I submitted.

First up - this amazing face - "Mermaid" by Becka Rahn.

Next up - this beautiful face by Cyn Bicker

Third is this beauty by Monica Magness

Last, but certainly not least...

This gorgeous face is by Nancy Simel

Honestly... how lucky am I??? Every one - a work of art.

If you want to take a peek at all the faces swapped out this year (they are all gorgeous and diverse), please check out Carol's website for some great eye candy. It's so much fun and anyone can play! A really great way to acquire a wonderful little work of art by another artist.

If any of the artists that created/beaded the above faces happen to stop in here for a visit, let me just say...THANK YOU! I cherish each and every one of them.

You got some variety in the pins you got back. That's neat. Maybe I'll try to do more for next year myself. It's rather fun. Thanks for sharing the idea.

What a great swap! Was it planned that two were fabric and two beaded? Can you recommend good sources for face beads/cabocons? I keep poking around trying to find some I like, but can't seem to find any. Thanks!

Hi there! Glad you like my mermaid! I am delighted to see that she's gone to a good home. Enjoy!

What a fun swap!!! I'm so sorry that I watched for the past two years (although I know this is the fourth year) and never jumped in until now! Believe me...marked on the calendar and wouldn't miss it next year for the world!

Hugs friend...~Lisa ;-)

P.S. I'll see you at Ms. M's PARTY tomorrow (I can hardly believe the DAY has arrived)!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed to see your name there Grace!!!

They are all amazing -- I would not have thought to do the fabric faces that way. What a wonderful entrance into another thought pattern !
and I love both of the faces -- Nancy's and Cyn's !

Grace - they are all stunning! Thanks very much for sharing pics with us. I love all of them but adore the one Ms Monica made (she is so talented).

Mmmm....wonder if I could take part next year?

Much love to you and the kitties.

Too much fun, aren't they? KV, I'm thrilled to have another Monica work of art - it's amazing!

Lynn - I think it is completely random in the faces that are swapped out. I got lucky with the diverse group of faces that came back to me.

Becka - good to see you here, now I have another blog to visit!
