2009 BFAC (Beading For A Cure) a teaser...

I have been working away on my entry for the 2009 BFAC (Beading for A Cure) auctions. She is turning into quite the beauty. I posted about her beginnings here. And a progress post can be found here.

I thoroughly enjoy the color combination and the bead sizes - seems they have worked out perfectly for my doll. I have had a pretty hectic work schedule which makes beading time all the more important to me. I try to bead at least a little bit every evening. I try to get through 2 yards of thread each evening - if I can do that, I feel like I'm making good progress, not to mention it helps alleviate any stress from the work day.

Once she is done - all 10 1/2 inches (front and back) will be beaded. I am a good way from finishing, but that's okay - I'm having a lot of fun on the journey!

She is looking Yummy! I will have a fair bit of fabric showing on my because of the flame pattern. Some how I've been distracted by puzzles, so I'm not much further along that before. I now have the doll bug again.

Been helping out at the LBS as the owners daughter has had two surgeries in two weeks. She is usually the one to run the shop. Fortunately I have the time to help.

Two yards of thread / day is pretty good. Sometimes, I do a lot more! :D

Wow Grace! That is amazing - these colours really do work well together don't they? I can't get over the photography! Your pictures are so clear, the colour lined beads show up so crispy!
It reminds me of a persian rug - what an inspiration!
What colour are the sequins?
These pictures make me happy!
Cheers, Denise

NICE, Grace. I like how you've done some scattered, some nice and orderly -- and I admire your photography. Great job!

Grace, the teaser images are beautiful! I'm doing bead embroidery for BFAC this year, too, and mine isn't nearly as lovely as yours.

I also find that I'm enjoying the colors much more in my project than in the tubes.

KV, we would have expected a much higher final bid on Grace's doll for this year, but all our pieces are getting hit by the economy.

The colors are stunning Grace and you always do such exquisite work! Every day I hold the beautiful doll you made for me in my hand. And feel the love that has gone into her.
Holding your doll makes me feel grounded and happy all at once.

Hi Grace,
Gee I haven't had time to do much visiting, so I thought it was about time!!!!
Your beading is awesome as usual.... What beautiful colors and movement... I keep trying!!!! I just finished another page to my BJP. Wish I had done smaller as 4"x6" takes so long..... Oh well we have to enjoy the journey !
You are such an inspiration. Thanks Grace.
