What does the name Grace mean? | |||
***Hmmmm, I would never describe myself as graceful. I trip on flat ground - regularly!
So, when I was born - I was not named right away. My parents were pretty sure they would give me the name Dawn (my dads name was Donald). But when I arrived I guess I didn't 'look' like a Dawn. The debated for 3 days and were pressured by the hospital staff to name me before they left the hospital. They decided... 'let's just go with Grace'. Both of my grandmothers were named Grace and it's my mother's middle name as well.
I have always loved my name. I shared my name with no on else in all the years I was in school and back then - it was never found on any of the popular items you'd normally find with kids names (little license plates for bikes; stickers; key chains) and I liked it that way.
"I want to feel passion, I want to feel pain. I want to weep at the sound of your name. Come make me laugh, come make me cry... just make me feel alive."

Grace suits you... Amazing Grace suits you even better!
wild child, rebel, GOOD at everything sounds about right! ;)
Wasn't this fun? If anything it makes you feel more alive that we are WHO we are & we celebrate OUR life, our way!!!
Dawn?
Dawn???
Like Heather... it does not feel like you in any way, I'm glad they ran from it and used Grace- the world is balanced once again. ~Monica
Isn't it great to have gone through school with an unusual name? I never came across anyone with my name either and like you, I liked that. I remember a few unusual names from school. There were two sisters named June and July. (June wasn't so unusual until paired with July). Then there was a girl named Piper. Really. I wondered where her parents found that name!
It's always nice to like the name you are born with. Or named after the fact with, as in your case! :)
Aw Monica... I know Dawn? I'm so glad it's not that :-)
Freebird - yes, it was great to go through school as the only Grace!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a note.
