Post card swap

This is the wonderful little creation I received from Monica for her post card swap. What fun - way outside of my comfort zone, but am so glad I participated. I like to play with paints and things other than beads - really should do it more often and stretch the creative muscle (or whatever it's called).

Thank you Monica!!

Hi Grace,
The postcard you received is really nice, I haven't received mine yet and it is hard to wait!!!Monica is such a blast eh? I get so much energy just by reading and seeing her blog!
Nice little treasures aren't they. I belong to a club and have traded a lot of them from all over the world. I love to get them out and look at them all LOL
((((hugs))))

So gooooood to hear it made its way safe & sound to you Grace! You are very welcome, but it is I who should be thanking you for sending me such a unique piece that I eagerly accepted into my collection. This was a FUN swap, I'm already spinning with ideas for the next one. BTW, feel free to tear off the plastic sheet that was protecting your addy from getting all wet, it was only a precaution and since we finally got rain after 5 months of a drought, I'm so glad I did! xo, Monica

Maggie - this was a blast, they truly are treasures. I enjoyed it immensely.

Monica - I did take off the plastic covering, I HAD to touch it. Thanks again for a great idea!

Leaves of Grass

This is what you shall do: Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body - Walt Whitman
