Pink Artist Drawing, Part 2...my contribution
Did you notice the button over to the side? --->
Please take a minute to visit Monica's blog to learn more about how you can contribute to a wonderful cause as well as have a chance to own some beautifully crafted items, not to mention a FANTASTIC block art quilt!
I recently completed the bracelet I'm offering up for the drawing.
The beads were generously provided by Artbeads.com
The photos above and below are progress photos of the bracelet
I took a class at my local bead shop a year or so ago and learned this 'coil' pattern. I've been having fun with close up photos
I really like these 3 colors together
The bracelet is 7 3/4 inches from end to end. In addition to the size 15/0 beads and the purple Delica's, I used a Swarovski 15 x 11 mm Crystal Golden Shadow Cosmic Oval Ring (also from Art Beads) as part of the toggle clasp.
I'm really looking forward to seeing all the wonderful items offered this round. It seems many of the stories that go with the pieces are as heart warming as the pieces are beautiful. Monica has a special way of attracting that kind of energy and spirit to her projects.
Spend a few minutes (or more) and go check it out!

Leaves of Grass
This is what you shall do: Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body

This is a lovely bracelet. I signed up and have to get in gear. Finishing my Muse II entry also, but I have a week vacation next week, so I think I will spend some quiet time by the pond enjoying my frogs and beads, lol
XX, Carol
Oh Grace it is BEAUTIFUL!!! (I'm running out of adjectives to describe YOUR pieces, lol)!!
I'll be posting this to our prize wheel shortly.. THANKS for everything you do to make PINK such a special project. I'd never be able to do this without you rootin' and hollerin' for us! I always said you were the BIGGEST cheerleader we have!
(psst! thanks also for updatingbutton, felt funky about changing the date at this stage of the game, but a HOUSE! Can you believe it! A house! I'll shoot you an email shortly).
xo, me :)
Beautiful bracelet! Thanks for your post on the Pink Artists Giveaway. I just signed up! I'm giving a copy of my Madame President mystery, very good, I think, for pink!
This is great. It's so simple and non-cluttered the closure becomes the focal piece even while it isn't overly decorative. Very nice piece.
Thanks all... oh Carol, I submitted my entry to Use the Muse and forgot all about it. Better go check on the progress there. I haven't been visiting blogs and/or websites lately. Never enough time!
Beautiful coiled bracelet! I like the pattern, the bead colors and the crystal ring too. It turned out lovely. Someone is going to be thrilled to win it, Grace. Nice contribution for a wonderful cause! ~Lisa ;-)
