Happy Spring!

I have been very lucky in the last several weeks, incredibly lucky - I think it's time to give back again... don't you?

Up for grabs is this cute little altered child. This is a kit I won on Pat Winter's blog - she offers these kits as well as other wonderful items in her Etsy shop. They are fun to work with and they smell heavenly. In addition to the items Pat included in the kit - I added a vintage celluloid flower basket charm, this little one looked to me as though she would love to carry a basket of flowers.

She is just over 3 inches tall and is stuffed with Lavender - so she is very aromatic. Would you like to call her yours? If so, leave a comment here with a link back to your blog or website. If you do not have a blog or website - you can send me an email through my profile and I will add your name to the 'hat'. I will close the post for comments on Wednesday March 26, midnight eastern time and will draw the name the following day.

I'd love to say I'm celebrating spring here in Northeastern Indiana, but we are under another winter storm watch, from the weather website...

SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP NEAR LAKE MICHIGAN DURING THE EARLY MORNING FRIDAY. AS THE SYSTEM CONTINUES TO MOVE EAST...THE AREA OF SNOW WILL EXPAND...AND SPREAD EAST DURING THE DAY FRIDAY. BY 8 AM EDT / 7 AM CDT SATURDAY...POSSIBLE SNOW ACCUMULATION WILL RANGE FROM 4 TO 8 INCHES...WITH THE HEAVIEST SNOW ALONG THE INDIANA/MICHIGAN BORDER.

I am sooooooo ready for spring!

This is so darling, Grace! Sorry about your dreadful weather -- we had the most beautiful day for Spring to begin down here. Even the wind stopped blowing . . .

Grace,
She is darling and I would love to be included in your drawing! I feel guilty not doing one of my own! You have so many giveaways from your heART as Monica says! I'm going to work on something too! Maybe this snow for you will be the last and the sun will soon be on it's way! At least with the snow, it's a wonderful excuse to be warm and bead! Keep Pursuing Art! ;)

We always wish for what we can't or don't have. I have been praying for snow all season -- AND - no such luck this year. Make a snow angel for me!!
Hugs to you.

You did an excellent job creating this cutie. No need to count me in, you have given me quite enough. I am so glad you enjoyed the kit.

Leaves of Grass

This is what you shall do: Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body - Walt Whitman
