The Sacred Crow

Would you look at that bounty? This was a great mail day! And I get to pick things out that I want to keep... decisions, decisions.

I was invited to join a small group of women artists putting together a wonderful box of treasures. This box travels from artist to artist and each one takes out a few treasures they like and in turn adds several treasures they are ready to send on.

Ultimately the box will find a new owner via auction, I'm not sure when or where, but I am sure the new owner will love it!

Imagine A Woman

Do yourself a favor and visit the link above to read the wonderful poem by Patricia Lynn Reilly. I am fortunate in that I have had the opportunity to find myself included such a circle of women with the experience.

My thanks to Monica, Gris, Connie, Paige, Jo Anne and Susan for making this journey such a special one to me.

We have a group blog, chock full of photos and info on the box if you're interested - please check it out.

Hi Ladies,

Helene - glad you liked it
Tammy - I DO remember. I try to send the postcards out to as many friends as possible. I just ordered another batch from Patricia.
Monica - no way did I stick to 5 things, but I figure if you put back way more than you take, it's okay, right??? :-)
Pat - it is so much fun, really takes on a life of it's own and can bring a group of people that much closer together.

Leaves of Grass

This is what you shall do: Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body - Walt Whitman
