Blue Moon

I finished my little star fish man, now known as Blue Moon - just today. His new owner seems quite pleased and that makes me happy!

This form is about 4 inches from point to point and was made by Monica Magness, face by Jen Martin.

I will start on my July Bead Journal Project this evening, I'm excited to get going on it. While working on that I will begin to work on at least one comfort doll as well.

Thank goodness ideas, as well as beads, are plentiful - life is so good.

Thanks a bunch for the comments. Mary, the face IS by GraphixOutpost, I just love her work. Blue Moon is happily hanging from his new perch. I only wish I could have captured his sparkle adequately. The pictures just never do the beading justice.

I am the lucky individual in possession of this piece, Blue Moon. I am so grateful to have it and after 5 years it brings me as much joy to hold, feel and look at today as it did the day I got it.

Aww, thanks John - I appreciate hearing that :-)

Leaves of Grass

This is what you shall do: Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body - Walt Whitman
